THE VINTAGE SIM
Spring Break Beach Home 2011 - TS3

Hey guys,
For most of us in school, Spring break is right around the corner! I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm headed to the beach to escape the snow and cold weather of the midwest.

No, I'm not going to be able to stay in some really cozy, extraordinary beach house on blue waters. But, that doesn't mean I can't recreate the ideal scene for Sims to enjoy

{28 pictures below the cut}

Located on the sands of Sunset Valley, this home is perfect for the ideal getaway! This home features a master bedroom, guest room, office (ideal for writers or businesspeople), two bathrooms, a quaint kitchen, sunroom, living area, and, best of all, direct access to the beach!

Some extra pictures, just because I love outdoor pictures

Information
→2 bedrooms
→2 bathrooms
→Sunporch
→Office
→Fully Landscaped

All Expansion Packs are required. I don't have any Stuff packs.

Too bad that it's not furnished, but the pictures are gorgeous and the house is very cute. Thank you!

I'd love to download it, but I don't have the WA :( The idea is really nice, but are there really no furniture objects included?

All? Does that mean stuff packs included?

Wait... So even when you download the house furnished .. . . It comes unfurnished!?

I think you guys are confused. There are two versions available above: furnished & unfurnished. The furnished version includes everything you see in the pictures. The unfurnished version includes just landscaping and the build of the house.

And, no, just expansion packs are needed. I have all of them. I don't have any SPs.

Beautiful house, inside and out. May I ask, what neighborhood did you take the screenshots in? I am assuming a custom one. :)

Hi Pixel, thanks so much! Actually, it's in Sunset Valley or w/e the original hood is named from the base-game :) . I placed a lot on the beach using the world editor tool in game. It's placed near the community beach lot, which provides lots of nice shots of the beach! Thanks for the comment!

Looks so lovely and you really have a great taste for the furniture.
But what if I don't have some of these installed, do they still appear in my game or do I have to download (for example) the mirror?

Hi Amy, thank you very much!
From my experience in transferring lots in TS3, most objects seem to carry over (meaning they will go from my game to yours). Some things may not, depending on the EPs you have & what objects are cloned from them. So, take for example, the mirror. If it was cloned to something that came from Ambitions, and you don't have Ambitions, it will be replaced by the object to which it was cloned.

If something doesn't show up, you can always ask me and I can tell you where I got the object. :)

Holy cow Hannah,
Thank you so much for such a nice comment! I cannot believe this is the most amazing house you've ever downloaded, there are soooo many talented builders/decorators out there, many way better than me! I just have an eye for color ^_^ Thank you very much! I hope it looks just as good in your game!

This house is soooo pretty! But I only have the base game and Ambitions... down the road, probably closer to my birthday I'll be geting another EP... till then I'll just be admiring your amazing work.

Anon, I know how that goes. You know, you could always give it a try. I don't think I used anything from W. Adventures. The installer should still let you use the lot, it's just that some objects may be replaced by basegame ones if they were cloned from a WA object :) Thank you very much for taking the time to comment! It's much appreciated!

What a gorgeous house! Downloading it now! Thanks so much for sharing. I have not attempted building in TS3 yet. I'm still a bit intimidated by it. LOL

Hi Mel! Thanks for leaving such a kind comment! Actually, I find building in TS3 to be much easier than in TS2!! You shouldnt be intimated at all ^_^ and there's lots of tutorials out there that show people how to build uniquely :) (not that this house is uniquely built really, I'm actually more of a decorator than a builder myself)

Thank you Karen, very, very much!!! I honestly didn't expect this house to be so popular. Hopefully I can live up to this with more builds later. :)

This is THE prettiest beach house I've seen for TS3, but I would really like to know how to download the file into my game (I have NO idea how to download RAR files) Thanks for any help!

Hi Anon,
Wow! Thank you so much ^_^ It's really crazy how many people like this house. I'm really glad I decided to share it!

You'll need this: http://www.rarlabs.com/download.htm to deal with .RAR files.
This will explain .RAR & .ZIP file types & what to do with them: http://www.modthesims.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:Downloading_for_Fracking_Idiots_5

That should help you figure out the .RAR file :)

Hi Kotangens,
It's nice to see you here! Thanks for swinging by!
Glad you like the house. I actually love to build in TS3, but decorate in TS2. I loveeee the outdoor graphics for TS3, so things like beach houses are perfect for me because I get to feature lots of exterior shots ;)
I do build for TS2 also, but I hesitate to share things because most people don't like all the cc..but what's the point of uploading lots without cc?? It has no character! no..oomph! ya know?
Anyway! thanks for commenting :)

Hey Anon,

Glad you love the house! Well at a lot of the furniture is custom content in the furnished version of the house. Some of it may carry over and some may not. I didn't know this at the time that I uploaded it. Honesty I would recommend grabbing the unfurnished version and just furnishing it yourself because custom content in lots usually doesn't work very well, unfortunately :|

I wish I could have all the beautiful objects in the house...I don't have all the expansions to download; I've been looking EVERYWHERE for beach themed stuff but I can't find any ANYWHERE. Do you have some links or a general place where you got all the furniture and stuff?
